Cognitive function and neurological impairment can significantly influence gait and mobility. There was a study done evaluating balance in individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), nonspecific low back pain (NS-LBP), chronic disease, poor balance, Parkinson’s Disease, and Sarcopenia. Gait which is defined as a person’s way of walking; it’s outcome was measured by a 6-minute walk test, 10-metre walk test, 8-foot up-and -go test, timed up and go test, Tinetti Assessment Tool scaled for balancing, and distance walked. The 6 metre walk test, used in 3 studies (lifeng Z et al., 2022), (Liang LJC et al., 2019), and (Zhu Y et al., 2019) was the most common method for assessing gait, typically evaluating speed and providing insight into an individual’s walking stability.
